Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Binary Data Technology handles information when you use the ClariSlip Android app.

Information you add

ClariSlip can process receipt images, PDF documents, recognized text, merchant names, dates, totals, currencies, categories, projects, notes, tags, line items, and expense splits. This information is stored in app-private storage on your device. Binary Data Technology does not operate a ClariSlip account, cloud-sync, or receipt-storage service for this release.

On-device recognition and Google ML Kit

ClariSlip uses Google ML Kit document scanning and text recognition. Receipt images and recognized receipt text are processed on the device. Google states that ML Kit Android SDKs may collect device and app information, per-installation identifiers, performance and API metrics, feature input/output sizes, event types, and error codes for diagnostics and usage analytics. Google states this diagnostic data is encrypted in transit and is not shared with third parties. ClariSlip does not add receipt contents, merchant names, totals, notes, or exported files to that diagnostic data.

Files, camera, and sharing

You choose receipts through Android's scanner or system file picker. ClariSlip receives only the items you select. When you use Export or Share, Android shows its share sheet and sends the selected export only to the destination you choose. The app does not request broad external-storage access.

Advertising, analytics, and accounts

ClariSlip version 1 contains no advertising SDK, advertising identifier access, developer analytics SDK, account creation, subscription, or accounting connection. The app does not sell personal information.

Retention and deletion

Records remain on your device until you move them to Trash and permanently delete them, clear the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. Trash items can be restored until permanently deleted. Because Binary Data Technology has no server copy of your receipts in this release, it cannot remotely retrieve or delete them.

Security

ClariSlip uses app-private storage and disables Android cloud backup for receipt data. No security measure can eliminate every risk, so protect access to your device and review export destinations before sharing.

Children

ClariSlip is a general-purpose record-keeping utility for users aged 13 and older. It is not designed for children under 13.
